Minutes from meeting held at the Turks Head 18/1/08.

**Please be aware that at the time of the minutes being taken, alcohol was being served at the venue and some members may have become or arrived intoxicated.
 
Roller duties, If not undertaken regularly by grounds man, to be undertaken voluntarily - Shandy/Winch
 
Groundsman to be contacted and coaxed with alcohol in to taking a more vested interest in crossbats pitch whenever possible - Shandy/Winch
 
Moormead condition becoming questionable, Arse to make alternative enquiries along with Shandy ; Members in favour of a pay to play arrangement for the first two fixtures and the last fixture of the season.
 
Various items of kit to be obtained i.e. Umpires Coats that fit larger men.... Matching Stumps and bails, keeping kit etc. Members agree
that Hampton Wick CC should firstly be approached about the purchase before any one or group of Crossbats members spends any money - Carter/Fitch
 
Scoreboard to be transported from Moormead after game two and to be used as permanent scoreboard at Hampton Wick - Shandy
 
Outdoor gazebo's suggested/purchased to protect tender pommy skin from the harmful rays of the sun - Fitch
 
Subs to be paid by direct debit or as lump sum of £120 no later than the start of the Italian Tour. Rules to be the same as previous season where upon a player who does not think they can commit fully to the team and it would therefore become financial un-viable to pay the £120, is permitted to pay £7 per game + £3 for tea, unless otherwise specified. Spiro and Winch to act as payment custodians.
 
The option of a crossbats playing pullover or jumper suggested and possibly obtainable through Fitch. Banding colours agreed to be light and dark blue.
 
New balls to be purchased by Carter/Shandy and the suggestion that a new ball be taken for each innings greeted with enthusiasm,  unless of course the opposition wish to use a shitty old ball that that is 35 over's old, at which time we would happily oblige to let them do so. Further more, it is suggested by Shandy that the adoption of the white ball be trialed at Hampton Wick - ensuing excitment!
 
Teas for moormead to be arranged through British Legion, Teddington, now that they really have fuck all else to do - To be arranged Between Arse and Shandy and collected by Shandy.

And finally, as I write up these minutes, A special congratulations must go out to Simon Fitch, whom earlier today became a father for the first time. Congratulations to Simon and Keira on the arrival of Amelie Jasmin.
 
Although the little girl appears to be of Negro decent, we are all fairly confident that Simon is the father.
