It all started to so well. Not the fact that we managed to be playing at the Bank with the weather looking so gloomy. I mean there aren't many better sights in world cricket than seeing Arse looking forward to opening the batting and then watching him face spin first ball. Needless to say he squirmed around for an over or two before being bowled looking all at sea. In came Winch (the fact the others are so crap makes him look so good - one of the spectators was overheard saying). He looked more at home against the under 12 bowling and progressed smoothly. Others came and went. The same piece of advice from Winch each time - "play straight get forward it's keeping low" was successfully ignored by most - all turning in disbelief to see they had been bowled by another shooter. Pads came out, told Winch he needed 30 off the last 3 balls to reach his ton before the declaration - he was bowled for 89 or thereabouts. Sphing with a good declaration on 150ish for something.

With the ball we were more at home. Schalky got one to lift (unbelievable) which clatterd in to Buffy's chin drawing a little blood. Gumbley taking a genuine wicket caught behind (that Winch is very good - another spectator comment) - no long hops from him today - gee your good boss (wont mention the fielding). Once the top order had been dismissed, the captain decided he wanted some cheap wickets (my bat, my ball I'll takeover). He proceeded to bowl straight and low which unbelievably bowled just about everybody. 6 or 7 for him. Lips taking a token one at the end, another 12 year old stumped (gee that Winch is good - spectator !)

Crossbats winning by 40 odd and then a good drink up at the Sun followed by curry.

Good day all round. If I've forgotten anyone bad luck.
